7th Annual Atlanta Artists Center National Show Karen Schwartz's work just placed first in the 7th Annual AAC National Show Exhibition.
Two hundred sixteen artists from across the country submitted work for consideration. The juror, Michael David, an international painter who founded and teaches at the Fine Arts Workshop in Atlanta and Palmetto,
GA and has taught at Princeton and SCAD-Atlanta was very impressed with the quality and diversity of the work and was challenged to make his selections out of the 583 submitted. His recognition is an inspiring honor.

Karen Schwartz is an artist whose initial sharing of work in Atlanta, Georgia has been received
with a placement in public collection, sales at charity art auctions and private commission.
Her multimedia portraits on paper and canvas of personally known
and cultural figures are up-close studies that create psychological
impact with a distinctive use of line and color. Schwartz's
experience as a clinical psychologist practicing psychotherapy for
20 years reflects an enduring passion and respect for personal
idiosyncrasy that characterizes her portrait work. Her trust in what
"eyes and hand will tell you about my subjects" embodies a risk that
pays off in works of honesty and boldness.
